Norwich bereavement support group launched

Following on from the memorial service held last November in Norwich Cathedral, a bereavement support group has been set up by parents who have lost loved ones and is being supported by Norfolk Christian charity The Matthew Project.

 

Carole Taylor, who helped organise the Memorial service and the group, said: “After the service last year, it was felt there was a need for a group to connect people that have lost someone through drugs or alcohol.  The group will offer a mutually supportive environment where you can grieve for the lost of a loved one through drugs and alcohol.”

 

The bereavement support group will: provide an avenue for people to meet others that have gone through similar experiences and provide information regarding where to access advice and support. Anyone who has lost someone or knows someone who has dies through drugs and alcohol is very welcome

 

This new group Bereaved Anonymous will take place on the first Monday of every month, starting on March 3 from 6pm-7.30pm, at The Matthew Project offices, 24 Pottergate, Norwich.
