Social Enterprise: Winning with 2012, East of England Regional Consultation Meeting, 26 March, Cambridge
New Hall, 10.00am-12.00pm. A roundtable meeting to discuss the opportunities presented by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and how social enterprise in the East of England can take part in the delivery and legacy of the Games.

Building Communities Fund Morning Seminar organised by Social Enterprise East of England (SEEE) 14 April, Kings Lynn

The Building Communities Fund is a major initiative to enable community organisations to purchase or develop buildings and land for enterprising use. Ely Diocesan Criminal Justice Group ,‘Circles of Support and Accountability’ Consultation and Workshop 17 April, Ely

Cost £20 to include supper and materials. Circles is a movement to set up and train support groups of volunteers to form a ‘Circle of Support and Accountability’ for a ‘core member’, usually a sex offender after release from prison.
Under the new National Offender Management Service there are plans for regional funding including the Eastern region.

Grassroots Grants Programme
The Grassroots Grants programme aims to increase grant funding available to community groups that are tailored to local needs. The programme offers grant funding to third sector organisations to become 'Local Funders' for voluntary and community groups in their area. Faith, Cohesion and Community Development: An evaluation report from the Faith Communities Capacity Building Fund

It also highlights the need to strengthen further the capacity of faith groups, and to improve their links with government.
