Global trade expert shares his story in Norwich
2008: A university professor and author of a new book on the impact of global climate issues was the guest speaker at a lunch arranged by the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship at the Maid's Head Hotel, Norwich on Thursday, April 17.
Nigerian-born Dr 'Chuks' Okereke is a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia which has the largest school of environmental sciences in Europe. He and his wife live in Norwich.
Although he is an academic with a grasp of complex trade issues, Chuks is also a man of vibrant faith and a popular Christian speaker with a keen sense of humour. He is known to many in the UK as 'Chuks' because his full name - Chukwumerije - is difficult for many in the UK to pronounce.
Dr Chuks's talk is open to all and is one of a series by guest speakers who share their stories at regular monthly lunches at the Maid's Head in Tombland in the centre of the city.
The lunches (from 1-2pm) are aimed largely at people who work in the city and are designed to fit in a standard lunch hour with a half-hour meal followed by the 25-minute talk.
The cost to attend the lunch is £6 and all are welcome.
