Fast cars website is aimed at Christians
A new website for Christian men who are interested in fast cars and chatting about them has just been launched by Norfolk charity fundraiser Richard Felton.
“The aim of www.oilyblog.com is to bring like-minded guys together through a specific website where interests can be shared, ideas can be voiced and events can be organised,” said Richard.
“It is trying to dispel the preconceived idea that Christian men hug trees, drive 2CVs and wear open toed sandals with socks! It is also trying to show that it is okay as a Christian to talk about bhp, piston rings, con rods, dump valves, split rims and fast cars in general.
“We hope that by creating a forum for discussion, men from across the UK can come together to support one another in attending mainstream car events where they can live out their Christian witness and show those that they come into contact with that there really is more to life whether they own a fast car and think they have everything or not.”
Richard, who runs charity fundraising agency Felton Fundraising and Appeals, based in Mid Norfolk, has set up and launched the website and is now trying to people to log on, take a look and get involved. It is free to access and there is no advertising, just a forum to chat.
