Free workshops offered to youth and churches

ChristianAidActJustlyYouth groups and churches across Norfolk and Suffolk are being offered free workshops and activities related to world development issues such as poverty, fair trade, tax justice, HIV/Aids, debt and climate change.

Christian Aid Volunteer Youth Advocate Cat Goldson has just started a 10-month placement with Christian Aid in Norwich and the surrounding area.

“My remit is to work with young people (aged 16-25) to encourage them to learn about and take action on world development issues such as poverty, fair trade, tax justice, HIV/Aids, debt and climate change,” said Car.

ChristianAidLogo“From now until the end of June 2009 I will be available to youth groups and churches in Norfolk and Suffolk to organise workshops, take group sessions, lead discussions, run games, give presentations or help in other appropriate ways on the issues listed above. I will also be visiting Christian Aid partner organisations in the Democratic Republic of Congo at the end of October and will be very happy to talk to groups about my experiences there.

“If there are any meetings, events or worship in which you would like development issues raised then please get in contact with me.”

You can reach Cat at cgoldson@christian-aid.org or on 01603 620051.
