Gary Moore, Norwich taxi-driver and YMCA Norfolk furniture project worker, has always had a sense of adventure. At the age of 8 he ran away from home, heading for Africa. His mum caught up with him at the bus stop.
His thirst for foreign shores has never left him though and after a troubled youth, he joined the Royal Military Police and then the French Foreign Legion. Neither worked out and Gary headed for home, ending up in the Norwich YMCA, where his biggest adventure yet began when he met a whole bunch of Christians.
A thrilling true life account of how one man's life was turned around by an encounter with God.

Retired Norfolk minister Martin Down argues that the Old Testament is a book entirely about Jesus and describes the centuries-long process of God's preparation for the coming of his Son to earth.
He takes a very careful look at the relationship between the Old Testament and the news. Also, the difference Jesus makes to our understanding of the Old Testament and how Christians should read the Old in the light of the New.
He goes on to look at the difficult question of the relationship of Israel and the Church to help us define the nature of the Church as a distinct community from the Israel of old as well as from the natural communities to which we belong.
The New Jerusalem: Israel, the Church and the Nation By Martin Down. Published by Vineyard International Publishing and distributed by Kingsway, is available at the Norwich CRC.
