2008: The Bishop of Norwich has appointed the Rev Simon Ward as his new Chaplain to take over from Rev Jan McFarlane who has been appointed Archdeacon of Norwich.

Simon is currently Acting Team Rector in the Sole Bay Team Ministry in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, but he grew up in Norwich and knows the city and county well.

He is married to Georgette and they have two young sons. Simon is a former teacher. He trained for ordination at Cuddesdon and served his curacy in the Diocese of Guildford before moving to the Sole Bay Team as Team Vicar.

When not working, he enjoys playing rugby, cycling, gardening and keeping poultry. No date has yet been set for his Licensing but it looks likely that he will begin his new ministry at the beginning of March.
