Support helps Norwich Besom reach out

besomIn 2008 The Besom in Norwich worked with 13 churches, numerous Christian projects and raised over £4,000 to offer practical help for people in need in the city.


The Besom in Norwich passes on high quality items offered by Christians to those in need and would like to thank everyone who helped them last year.

 

The charity works with many agencies in the city including Stonham, Hebron Trust, Magdalene Group, Pregnancy Crisis, Embrace Young Mums, Julian Housing, British Red Cross Refugee Orientation Project, Move on East and the Matthew Project.

 

In 2008 donated items included:

 

1 bicycle

2 fridge-freezers

3 sofas

4 carpets

5 sets of bedding

6 children’s toys

7 beds

8 baby bath sets

9 chests of drawers

10 kitchen start up kits

... and 23 frozen turkeys!


The Besom engages with local churches and individuals who give time to pray and help with van deliveries and decorating projects. The Besom Core Team meets every Wednesday at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, Norwich to plan and pray and is very happy for anyone to join them at these meetings.
