New president and venue for Norwich FGB

MichaelWiltshireCropThe new president of the Norwich Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship is Mike Wiltshire. He succeeds Michael Cant, who successfully held the post for three years.
 
The Norwich fellowship arranges around 20 lunch and dinner events a year with guest speakers from the business and professional sectors.
 
During 2009, the Norwich group will be holding all its events at the Maids Head Hotel in Tombland, in the city-centre.
 
“We arranged events at other venues in 2008, but have now decided to hold all our regular Norwich events - including our monthly lunches - at the Maid’s Head Hotel, since that was our ‘home’ for two decades, ” says Mike Wiltshire. 
 
MaidsHeadThe Norwich chapter recently celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with a dinner attended by the Lord Mayor of Norwich.  
 
 

Friday night dinners

These events with guest speakers will take place on March 6, May 8, June 5, July 3, October 2, November 6 and December 4. (There are no dinners in April and August).

Thursday lunches

These monthly lunchtime events with guest speakers will take place from at 1-2pm on March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 23, August 20, September 24, October 22, November 19 and December 17.

New officers

Mike Wiltshire, president, worked in the secular media for more than 25 years and was a commissioning editor with the Financial Times in London. He and his wife Lois have four grown-up children.
 
Architect Michael Cant remains one of the vice-presidents of the Chapter and was warmly thanked for his service.
 
Other newly-elected officers include Tony Gardener, vice-president; Dr Andrew Gibson, secretary; Robert Osborne, main bookings co-ordinator and membership secretary; Mark Skittrall, treasurer; John Wright, speakers’ co-ordinator. Michael Cant is also the database co-ordinator; Mike Wiltshire is also FGB’s regional director, with Bob Waters serving as regional representative.
 
FGB has 5,000 local chapters worldwide, serving in more than 160 countries.
