Yesu, the people's place in North Norfolk

yesuChristian charity Yesu is making a difference in the North Norfolk community through the various outreach programmes on offer, including a fully equipped bus for youth work, popular coffee shop and befriending scheme.

The charity was set up by New Wine Church in North Norfolk as part of its outreach ministry. The charity's premises in the heart of Sheringham was set up in 2002 to serve the community. In 2008 the Yesu project expanded to premises in Bull Street, Holt; providing a base for activities in Holt and the surrounding areas too.

What we do:
Yesu is a place where anyone young or old can come and relax, have a cup of coffee and a chat. They also have a wide range of activities going on and are able to provide specialist advice on a range of issues. Yesu has built strong relationships within the community, provide a welcoming environment and place of excellence that the community can appreciate as their own.

Richard Allen, Yesu project leader said, “The Yesu Project is about enriching people’s lives, helping, supporting people, providing a safe environment for them to have a place and people they can come to and feel valued.”

Ann Gallagher, administrator at Yesu said, “Our bus enables us to provide activities in the surrounding area and our befrienders scheme offers practical help into people's homes. We have quiet rooms which other agencies use to provide specialist advice on a range of issues such as counselling, drug abuse and financial advice.”

Where we are:

15 High Street, Sheringham
