Ex-atheist scientist in Norwich to talk of faith
An eminent scientist who was once a declared atheist – until he had a dramatic conversion to Jesus Christ while at Cambridge – was the guest speaker at the dinner of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship at the Maid’s Head Hotel in Norwich on Friday, July 17, 2009.
Professor Roy Peacock (pictured right), whose expertise is in aerodynamics and aerospace, has been an adviser to many government and industrial groups. But he is also an author with a global ministry in Bible-based teaching, seeing lives changed and healed.
As a popular speaker, Roy has ministered in every continent of the world. His Christian books include the best-selling “Foolish to be Wise,” and “A Brief History of Eternity,” which was an acclaimed response to Professor Stephen Hawking's atheistic book, “A Brief History of Time.”
All are welcome at the Norwich dinner at the Maids Head Hotel, located in Tombland, NR3 1LB. The event is at 7 for 7.30pm and the cost is £12.
Reservations can be made with Robert Osborne on 01603 782 432 or by email to: robert.osborne.767@hotmail.co.uk or alternatively to Mike Wiltshire at mwiltshire4@aol.com - if possible by Wednesday July 15.
