Norfolk EDA keen to work with church groups
The Norfolk Eating Disorders Association has recently received funding to start working with youth groups across the county and is keen to make connections with Christian groups.
The Norfolk EDA is a partially NHS funded charity based in Norwich that has offered support to adults with eating disorders and their families since 1973.
Norfolk EDA Youth Support Worker, Diane Archer, said: “We have recently received funding from Children in Need to begin a Youth Project to support young people aged 11-18.
“We are currently making connections with Christian communities in Norfolk and hope to work closely with youth groups to spread awareness and a message of support for those affected by eating disorders.
“The youth team is made up of an experienced and dedicated support team that includes a specialised psychotherapist. We offer a confidential service for young people via email, itext, chatroom, and helpline as well as face to face support.”
