The city's new £2.5m bridge is to be named after the medieval mystic Julian of Norwich - thanks to a pair of Norfolk nuns.More than 200 people entered a competition to name the long-delayed bridge (an artist's impression pictured right), which will link King Street with Riverside, and the name Lady Julian Bridge was selected from the 113 suggestions.More than 40 people entered variations on Julian's name as possible bridge names. Suggestions included the Julian Crossing, Julian of Norwich Bridge and Julian's Joy Bridge.But it was two nuns, one from Norwich and one from Ditchingham, who won the contest to name the bridge because of the reasons they gave for it being named after Julian.To read the rest of this story on EveningNews24, click here
