Norfolk Bible school expects record intake
2009: Prophetic Bible school The Way of the Spirit, based in Norwich since 2005, is ready to receive full-time students from around the world this autumn.
Participants will be coming from Kenya, Rwanda, Germany, Spain and France – not to mention the UK!
“We’ve leased a large house in South Norwich which will accommodate up to about 14 people” says Director Richard George, “This is an exciting new step forwards, we’ve had a handful of students for a couple of years but this year everything has gone up a gear”.
Jesus said ‘My words, they are spirit and they are life’. The full-time Prophetic Bible Teachers Course trains students to expect to receive that life as they are drawn into the drama of the bible. A little like Wycliffe’s Lollards, they are then sent out to tell others what they’ve seen. It’s not so much for those seeking academic knowledge (though the leaders are theologically trained), but for those who simply long to see the life of God’s Spirit in and through his word. “I’ve so often been amazed at the way God has taken ordinary people and equipped them to communicate his heart in a life-changing way”, says Richard.
There may still be spaces available for local non-residents; do contact Penny Jones on 01508 520003 if interested in the full or part time courses.
Teaching days
The Way of the Spirit teaching days and evenings, which have run for several years will continue. Currently they are held at Jessopp Road URC church on a Saturday morning and Wednesday evening each month. Also at Horsford and Sheringham. No experience of The Way of the Spirit is necessary – all are welcome to come and enjoy the lively and life-changing bible teaching. Dates of meetings for the autumn/winter will be found on www.thewayofthespirit.com as well as the Network Norwich & Norfolk calendar.
He drank from the brook and lifted his head. Ps 110 .7
The Brook is a school run by Cornerstone Church, led by Richard George (not by The Way of the Spirit), on Fridays at New Hope Christian Centre. Just as Jesus needed refreshment so do we all! This Friday school is now open on an ad hoc basis to any who seek refreshment and training which is biblical and Spirit-led. The day is open to all - from any church or denomination - who need to receive in order to give out, and who want to grow in their faith, understanding, anointing and confidence. More details of Cornerstone Norwich can be found on www.cornerstonenorwich.org
Pictured top is Richard George and bottom Robert Clifford. Both studied under John McKay and Colin Urquhart at Roffey Place and who now lead The way of the Spirit in this and other nations of the world. They have much experience in raising up bible teachers and long to see a revival of God’s word and Spirit in the land.
