Duncan and Janice MacInnes, advisers for Norfolk for the Holy Trinity Brompton Marriage Course, are running their latest Marriage Course at Witard Road Baptist Church, Norwich on seven Thursday evenings starting on September 10.
Janice said: “Is life so busy that it’s not easy to find time for each other? Are pressures of work and family crowding in? Have the children left home and got you wondering what the future holds for your marriage? Is your marriage good but somehow the romance is not what it was when you first met? If so, we would like to help you put the spark back in your relationship.”
The cost of the course is £50 per couple which includes a candlelit dinner each evening and all course materials.
Janice said: “We realise that there are many churches where the Marriage Course is not available so we open our course to any couple who might like to come. The course is a great fun way to spend time talking together and we think that every relationship would benefit. Discussions are only between you and your partner and are completely confidential.”

On the previous Thursday,
September 3, the film Fireproof is showing at Witard Road with the programme starting at 7pm. The makers of this US smash hit movie, about a fireman saving lives for his job but struggling to rescue his marriage, have to date been sent over 3,700 stories of marriages being transformed through the film.
“We have a large screen and good sound system at Witard Road so it’s almost like going to the cinema!” said Duncan. “We’ll have free tea and coffee with popcorn, chocolate and soft drinks to buy and everyone is welcome.” Admission is free with donations to the church building fund much appreciated.

Fireproof, which cost $0.5 million to make, has confounded critics who said that it would be a limited success, by debuting at No4 at the US box office with receipts to date of $33.5 million. The DVD of the film climbed to No 3 on Billboard’s DVD chart and the accompanying book ‘The Love Dare’ has sold over 2 million copies, propelling it into the bestsellers list.
