Norwich YFC aims to help you serve youngsters
Norwich Youth for Christ want to know how they can help local churches and Christian groups meet the needs of young people across the city. There is an opportunity to give them your ideas, and hear about a new project called Open Heaven, on Friday September 18. NYFC’s Johny Grimwo0d reports.
Norwich Youth For Christ's heart is to serve your young people. Whether you are a large group or small congregation with only one or two teenagers, our vision is to serve the church of Norwich and surrounding areas and supplement your youth ministry.
Our mission is to take good news relevantly to young people, and a vital part of this is getting alongside the church and supporting Christian young people as they grow in and explore their faith, but we need your help!
We feel God is telling us to listen up... to you, to Him and to the Young People.
In Zechariah 4:6 God tells Zerubbabel 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit'. As part of the night there will be lots of space to pray and seek God. We can work hard on a neat and tidy polished programme for the coming year, but unless God is breathing through it it is all a waste of time.
How can we serve you? Please do come along and give us your ideas, opinions, needs and most importantly a listening ear to hear (and pen to record) what God might be telling us.
We will meet on Friday September 18 in the café area at NCBC (Duke Street, Norwich, NR3 3AP ). The night will start at 7:30 for cake and coffee followed by an introduction by NYFC's director Mark Tuma.
He will also talk through the initial vision behind a new project 'Open Heaven' and asking people what they think. There will be ample opportunity to pray in the prayer room, share opinions with each other and NYFC staff and record your feedback through questionnaires and other media.
