NCCT appeal for communications officer

NorWalk1webNorwich Central Churches Together's regular events include the Easter procession, community action fair and the popular carol singing on Chapelfield Plain.

The group is appealing for a communications officer to help promote their activities.

NCCT ran a successful Lent course this year with 70 people attending in six locations across Norwich. The silent procession on Good Friday was very meaningful for a number of people and the sound of the nails being hammered into the cross was a dramatic moment.

The Chain of Prayer will be organised by NCCT next year and will be held on Thursday 21 January 2010, starting at 11.30 and finishing at 5.30.

The community action fair at the Forum in June -'What we do when it's not Sunday' - was a great success and an even larger event is being planned for June 11-12th 2010. It is hoped to fill the whole of the atrium at the Forum and many stalls have been booked already. The Salvation Army band will play and churches are urged to get involved - contact John Betts on 01603 861181 or 2john@johnbetts.fsnet.co.uk

NCCT once again will be leading the Carol Singing on Chapelfield Plain from 6-7pm on Thursday 17
December.   Chapelfield Mall are keen for the event and the BBC, who provide the big screen above the Plain entrance, want to film the singing on screen as it happens. The next meeting of NCCT will be on 3 February in St John's Narthex, Earlham Road.
