Car park nativity brings town Christmas to life

SheringhamNativityThe Christmas story came to life in Sheringham as mums, dads, children and chickens took their places in a live nativity.

The town's Baptist church transformed its car park into a stable, filled with bales of hay, for the setting of the festive scene which even featured a real baby - albeit three-months-old and female - in the arms of Mary and Joseph.

As spectators gathered round to sing carols as the temperature plummeted on Saturday evening, December 19, children and adults were encouraged to dress up as shepherds, wise men and the Angel Gabriel.

Youth leader Daniel Beckett said: “We're inviting members of the church and the community to remember what it was like that first Christmas. It makes it much more meaningful, they feel part of it.”

Pictured are Jenny and Martin Hutchings with Isabell as baby Jesus.
