Prayer lighthouses set to relaunch in Norfolk
Norfolk Call to Prayer is set to relaunch its Lighthouses of Prayer initiative and monthly newsletter to encourage local Christians to pray for local ministries, churches and events.
Director Jill Gower said: “During the Just Ten Mission with J.John in 2002, God raised up 113 Lighthouses of Prayer; these very diverse groups gave significant prayer cover to this event and we believe that the time has come to re-launch them.
“There are so many initiatives coming up, including Celebrate, which has the potential to be a major evangelistic event, the recently launched Foodbank and The Father’s Heart Conference in Ashill in May. We feel the time has come to see the Lighthouses of Prayer re-established as we have much to pray about. Also to pray for our wonderful ministries in the area which are doing such great work.
“With this in mind we are looking for Lighthouses of Prayer to gather and they can be, as before, very diverse in nature. Some will be within churches, others people gathering across the churches in their region and some may be existing prayer groups.
“We are also going to restart our monthly prayer letter to update everyone on the prayer requests we have coming in. “
Once a month, Lighthouses are invited to join us for a combined prayer meeting at the Octagon, All Saints Church, The Street, Poringland from 7pm.
