Norfolk vicar uses Darth Vader as faith tool
A vicar from Norfolk is introducing religion to a wider audience with the help of the Star Wars films.
Howard Robson, of St Peter's Church in Brooke, is using the films' themes of sin and redemption as starting points for religious conversations.
"The premise of the film is that the whole of the universe is pervaded by the force and the force has a good side and also a dark side," said Howard.
The films will be shown at St Peter's Church in Brooke after Easter 2010.
"Darth Vader starts off as a reasonable goody and then has to make various decisions through events that happen to him," said Howard.
"His mother is murdered and he goes off and responds to that in a series of ways, which ultimately lead to him turning to what is called 'the dark side'," he added.
