Norfolk Christian author's new children's book
By Angus MacQueen
2010: A brand new children’s novel by Downham Market Christian Fellowship’s Denise Hayward (right) was published on April 1.
Written with a Christian perspective, “Deepest Darkness” is described as a gentle, moving story for eight to 11-year-olds.
The book focuses on 10-year-old Abi, who suffers from terrible nightmares and whose life is ruled by fear. On holiday in Canada, she makes a new friend who shows her that true light shines, even in the deepest darkness.
Costing £5.99, the book can be purchased direct from the publisher, Dernier Publishing, at www.dernierpublishing.com. It can also be ordered through Amazon or at any bookshop, using the ISBN number, which is 978 0 9536963 6 9.
Denise will be conducting a book signing at the Lighthouse Christian bookshop, 13 Lynn Road, Ely, on Saturday May 1, from 10am to 5pm.
