Come down to earth at Norfolk meditation camp
Do you have a desire for silence, a reverence for nature, and a heart for community? Enjoy a weekend of experiencing stillness in nature and celebrating community at a meditation camp in North Norfolk from 14 - 16 May.
Coming Down to Earth is a weekend of meditation in the Christian contemplative tradition. It includes a gentle programme of meditation, Lectio Divina (prayerful reading of sacred texts), meditation walks and sharing circles, interspersed with sauna, simple communal living and creative offerings such as chanting, singing and poetry.
The camp is located at the edge of Tuttington village, near Aylsham in North Norfolk from Friday 14 - Sunday 16 May.
The event will be led by Debbie Sands and Liz Day, in association with Centering Prayer East Anglia, part of a worldwide movement to renew the mystical dimension of the teachings of Christ.
Liz says, "Our meditation practice is Centering Prayer - a method based in the Christian contemplative tradition. Anyone interested in meditation is welcome - whether you identify as Christian or not. And if you have a different meditation practice, that's fine too.
"We held our first camp on the Field last year on the mid-May weekend, and it was glimmering with early summer radiance. The Field has a long history of holistic community gatherings, and is imbued with a sense of the sacred. We look forward to welcoming you to this special place."
