Norwich Church hustings reveal faith issues
A hustings organised by Norwich's churches tested parliamentary candidates last night on how they would vote on faith issues and if they would vote to uphold Christian principles.
The Norwich North hustings, organised by Transforming Norwich (Churches Together in Greater Norwich), saw candidates questioned on a range of issues, including nuclear weapons, schools, international aid, the country's debt, the economy, reform in the House of Lords and the campaign to keep the Silver Rooms open.
However, the hot topic of the night was about each candidate's faith or belief system and, as one member of the audience put it, to find out who would “be prepared to stand up for Christian principles”.
