Welcoming strangers is subject of NCCT forum
‘I was a stranger and You welcomed me’ is the subject of the Norwich Central Churches Together Annual Forum on Saturday July 24 in the Narthex at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist on the Earlham Road, Norwich.
Beginning at 2.30 it will include 3 workshops. Each of them will explore different aspects of the overall theme: 'I was a stranger and you welcomed me'.
Father James Walsh, Chairman of Norwich Central Churches Together said, "Many people feel estranged from our church communities; some have never had any real contact with Christians, some feel out of step with Christian values, some just perceive church as 'stuffy and boring'. In addition there is a growing number of immigrants from many cultures who are seeking a place in our society and a spiritual home in our churches. How do we integrate them in such a way that they can make a special contribution to our congregations? These are just some of the issues that will be discussed at the Forum which will end at 5 pm. All are welcome!"
