Funding for Norfolk church youth groups

SU horseridingYouth organisations in Norfolk, including church groups, are invited to apply for Sport Unlimited funding to run sport taster sessions in a variety of different activities.

Sport Unlimited is a nationwide initiative funded through Sport England and implemented in the county by Active Norfolk in partnership with local agencies. The aim of Sport Unlimited is to encourage young people in Norfolk to increase their participation in sport and physical activity outside of curriculum time.

Active Norfolk is looking for providers who are willing to arrange introductory courses of 8 weeks, 1-2 hours in duration, during term time. Activities must look to attract semi sporty youngsters – particularly those in the 11-19 age range.

Funding is available to cover a variety of aspects of project delivery including venue hire, coach and volunteer costs.

Katie Flatman, who manages the programme in Norfolk said, "This is the third year of the Sport Unlimited project and this year we are looking to open it up to church groups and other organisations who maybe already meet on a regular basis but would like to offer some sporty activities to the young people who take part."

SU CheerleadingIf your organisation would like to apply for funding, please contact Katie Flatman on 01603 697014 or email katie.flatman@activenorfolk.org
