Spirit outpouring continues at Norwich church

Revival2010: Over the last four weeks, City Church Norwich has experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. People are testifying to personal transformation, a new passion for worship and the Word of God as well as healings.

John Wilkinson, who is a UK evangelist, has been involved in the current revival going on in Mobile, Alabama, and has been instrumental in the outpouring of God in City Church. He is returning to work with the church from 5th December.
City Church pastor, Phil Thorne, said: “It has been an amazing presence of God experience over the last five weeks with many people receiving a fresh love for Jesus, a new focus for the sharing what God has done for them and an extraordinary desire to be in God’s presence. Every meeting has been a different experience of God, with people testifying to God dealing with long-term issues and of being set free."

John Wilkinson, the associate evangelist of the UK Shake the Nations ministries, the evangelistic ministry of Nathan Morris which holds meetings around the world, has just returned to work alongside Nathan Morris and John Kilpatrick in the Bay of the Holy Spirit Revival in Mobile, Alabama. They continue to experience thousands responding to the message of Jesus Christ, and seeing many miracles and healings, people telling their stories of the healing power of God. John returns from the States to speak at City Church in Norwich at 10am and 6pm on Sunday 5th December. These special meetings, though, continue at 6pm every Sunday up until Christmas.

Phil said: “God is doing amazing things right across the generations. He is impacting the elderly, reminding them that they are important in all that God wants to do. The youth have never seen a move of God like this and are speaking of the change in their lives as a result. Many young people and children are experiencing a fresh passion for Jesus following prayer. We encourage you to bring your youth along to receive a touch from God. We so desire to see our young people right across the city and region passionate for Jesus and His kingdom. We also want to ask that you continue as God’s people across this city and region to go on lifting us up in prayer for God to help us rightly administer this current move of God. Testimonies are coming into our office about what God is doing in people’s lives and we encourage you to go on sending them to us so that we can encourage everyone that God is moving, answering prayer and changing lives.”

"Everyone is welcome to come to the meetings. People will be encouraged to give offerings towards the expenses of these events, but they will also be reminded that they should give tithes to their own churches and support their own church services.

“We are thrilled that God is moving by His Spirit in and through the church. Who knows that these could be days when God pours out His power in extraordinary ways to revive the church, to focus us afresh in intimacy with Jesus, to cause faith to arise for breakthroughs, to see many people saved and those that once ran well to be restored, and for healings and miracles to accompany the preaching of God’s word.”
