Prayer spaces event for Norfolk schools
2010: Are you interested in setting up a prayer space in your local school? A Norfolk Christian project is holding a special event on November 21 to provide information for people who would like to explore this idea.
Kadesh Education, based in Diss, is organising an event hosted by Prayer Spaces in Schools as an opportunity for people to have an informal chat with Phil Togwell from 24-7 Prayer about setting up a prayer space.
Prayer Spaces In Schools enable children and young people to explore faith and spirituality in a safe, creative and interactive way. Phil will tell some stories about prayer spaces that have been set up in various schools and show some slides.
Whether you're a teacher, a Christian schools worker, a member of a local church with a passion to encourage children and young people, even if you're a pupil in a school, why not consider setting up one of these Prayer Spaces in your school?
Evidence so far shows that the prayer spaces really do work. They enable children and young people to explore spiritual themes, to reflect on their big questions about life and existence, and to consider their own thoughts and feelings and actions in relation to others, all in simple, non-threatening ways. And, of course, they help us learn how to pray.
