Two leaders in Norwich to share their faith

RoddyPorter2010: Two Christian men from very different backgrounds – one, a senior British Army officer and the other, a former international businessman, who have both witnessed the healing power of Jesus Christ – were guest speakers at an inspirational Christmas dinner in Norwich at the Maid’s Head Hotel on Friday, December 10.

Major General Roddy Porter, MBE (right), gave his personal testimony followed by East African-born Ash Kotecha (below), who is now much in demand in the UK as a Christian speaker with an authentic healing ministry.

The Lord Mayor of Norwich, Councillor Tom Dylan, and other civic and community leaders were among guests at this dinner which is arranged by the Norwich Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men. Everyone is welcome to this “Evening to Remember” and dinner reservation details are given below.

AshKotechaWebAsh Kotecha, who was raised in a wealthy Hindu home, came to faith in Christ in a dramatic conversion. Although he had been a successful business man, Ash discovered quite soon in his journey of faith that God could heal people in answer to simple prayer - but he faced strong persecution from family and friends.

However, after several examples of instant healing in his family, a large number in his family turned to Christ and the persecution eased.   After Bible school training in the UK, Ash pioneered a thriving church in central London before launching out in a wider teaching and healing ministry.  Ash’s wife, Sharon, is a gifted “psalmist” musician.

Maj. Gen. Porter has served in Iraq, Bosnia and Northern Ireland and is Colonel of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. He enjoys most sports, particularly rugby. He came to faith in Christ at the age of 18 and has since “proved the faithfulness of God in many challenging situations.”
