Norfolk churches hold charity tree festival

ChristmastreeThis first Christmas tree festival in Sheringham is being organised jointly by two North Norfolk churches to raise money for around 40 local charities.

The festival will be held in St. Andrew's Methodist Church as part of a joint venture with St Peter's Parish Church from 9 - 14 December

Graham Simms, from St Andrew's said, "The festival will be spectacular and provide a good opportunity for the charities to raise desperately needed funds for their respective causes.
"It is expected that the festival will become an annual event and be held alternate years in the two churches, or that other churches in Sheringham may become involved and host the festival too in coming years."

The local charities will be taking part in the event and the stunning displays will be supported by a background of seasonal carols and music. There will be various charity stalls where you may find some Christmas presents for family and friends. Light refreshments will be available throughout the festival.

The festival will be open from:

  • 2pm to 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday,
  • 2pm to 6pm Sunday
  • 2pm to 8pm on Monday
  • 2pm to 6pm on Tuesday

Admission to the festival will be free.
