Norfolk Christian woman pens Christmas story
2010: A Norfolk Christian woman struggled to find a nativity book for her grandchildren so she decided to put pen to paper and write her own.
Anne Basketts, is a member at Dereham Baptist Church, couldn’t find a book to share the nativity story with her young grandsons – so she decided to write her own.
Mrs Basketts [pictured] has always enjoyed writing and was inspired last year to pen With Love From God At Christmas.
It starts with creation and re-tells Jesus’ birth and is fully illustrated with pictures by Mrs Basketts, who has dedicated the book to grandsons Joe and James.
"I hope it is told in a child friendly way and I wanted to make it about the nativity without all the adornments."
The book has been printed by Mrs Basketts’ brother Mick, of Harlequin Digital Press at Gressenhall. It costs £4.99 and is on sale at Green Pastures book shop in Dereham High Street and proceeds are for the shop.
