Norwich church hosts Christmas praise event
It’s all change at Chapel Field Road Methodist Church, Norwich this Christmas. The traditional service of lessons and carols will be replaced by an evening of Christmas Praise.
Those who live in the proximity of the church will be receiving a Christmas greeting card containing an invitation to a Service of Worship and Word by Candlelight, which will take place on Sunday, December 19, at 6.30pm.
The opportunity will be given to sing carols old and new and to be reminded of the Christmas story through the reading of the Bible. Special items will be sung by the Chapel Field Singers, giving an insight into a journey which began at Bethlehem and finished in Jerusalem. Included in the programme will be an arrangement of a late 20th century gallery carol, which will be performed by the orchestra and singers.
During the evening, the story of the first Christmas will be unfolded by minister, the Rev John Fenn, who will invite the congregation to look beyond the turkey and tinsel and discover the real meaning of Christmas. More details on 01603 632535
