Norfolk Christian youth workers team up

On Monday 22^nd November youth workers from various churches and organisations in Norwich came together to share food and talk about what's happening through their work.

24 people who all work with young people in a Christian context attended the event. The aim of meeting together in this way is to share what different organisations do and also what might be up and coming. But on top of this the evening gave the opportunity to build relationships. In doing so it is hoped that the youth work that goes on through Christians in the city will become more effective, more joined up and in being so will speak more clearly about the way that God cares for young people.

 

Nick Blanch from YMCA Norfolk said “I enjoyed the evening and it was good to chat with some workers doing similar work .” As part of Oak Grove, Nick also shared how it was beneficial for him in building connections with other churches. Hopefully in the future the evenings will increase in number and those who work with young people will find more encouragement, inspiration and motivation from others in the same position field of work.
