Evening with Christian musican and author
Blind pianist and Christian speaker Peter Jackson will be hosting an evening of entertainment and testimony in South Norfolk on 26th February.
Pastor of Saxlingham Nethergate Church Ian Masson said, "This will be a wonderful evening's entertainment with an evangelistic theme and would be a great event to bring non-Christian friends and family along to."
Peter Jackson was born in Birmingham, and lost his sight as a result of measles when just 18 months old. He went to the Birmingham Royal Institute for the Blind which is where he was taught to read and write Braille, and was introduced to the piano.
His ambition was to be a jazz pianist, and he played at parties and in working men's clubs in and around Birmingham. When he was at the Royal College for the Blind, studying music, piano-tuning and typing, he became a committed Christian.
Peter travels extensively, communicating the Good News in churches, clubs, schools and prisons. He also makes CDs and videos of his music, and has written two books about his life One day I'll see You, and Heaven in Sight, as well as two songbooks and a book of poems.
