New year Christian retreat at Noggs Barn
Noggs Barn, located just south of Norwich provides a space for Christian meditation with an established programme of monthly retreat days starting again on January 22.
Noggs Barn is run by Anne and Mark McDonnell [pictured right] who welcome people to Noggs in a spirit of hospitality and friendship since the building is part of their home. Generally the aim is to provide a venue where people can meet up and share their experience of spiritual life in a way that is open and enabling.
There are regular Christian meditation groups and events of all kinds to inspire and encourage our personal growth and understanding. All are welcome since events are not bounded by denomination or religious affiliation.
Anne says, "Anyone who is interested would be welcome to join our meditation group on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm or to attend any of the wide ranging subjects we cover on our retreat days.
On Saturday January 22nd we have a day looking at the story of the Prodigal Son. New Year themes of return, restitution and renewal are visited as we contemplate the story of the prodigal son represented in art and word."
The day will be led by Carol Hince, a member of Noggs Barn meditation group. The event starts at 11am (coffee served from 10.30am)
There is plenty of flexible space at Noggs Barn for meditation, reflection and group discussion [see pictures] Anne and Mark held meditation groups in their home for a number of years and the idea for Noggs grew out of this experience.
