Networking event for small charities
 A regional training day for charities is taking place on February 9 and will cover topics including online fundraising, communication and legal issues.
The Small Charities Coalition is coming to Peterborough on Wednesday 9 February 2011 to bring you their own mix of information and skills sharing to small charities.
It’ll be a packed day of practical sessions covering a range of subjects such as online fundraising, communications on a shoe-string, successful bid writing and charity legalities with a host other interesting ways for you to gain new skills, new insights and new contacts.
The cost for the day is only £10 per delegate. This includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
The purpose of the day is to link up with other small charities and gain new contacts for better access to advice and support in the future. Learn from the workshop leaders and one another and get practical knowledge and understanding, leaving you better equipped and more confident when you return to your charity.
Cath Lee from the Coalition said, "The day is intended to be practical and interactive. Our members have told us that they really value hearing ‘warts and all’ experiences from other charities so we are laying on workshop style sessions in which you can get some input from the workshop leader but mostly role up your sleeves and learn from each other."
The Small Charities Coalition has been around since 2008 and now has over 700 small charity members. Membership is absolutely free and entitles small charities to a range of benefits including our skills sharing and mentoring service, our peer-to-peer support networks, access to free and discounted products and services and more.
