Steve tells of how his life was turned around

SteveJackson350A successful London business man who says his “entire life was dramatically turned around - from a low point - after a chat with a friend over a ham sandwich” was the guest speaker at an inspirational FGB Dinner in Norwich on Friday, March 11 at the Brook Hotel, Bowthorpe, NR5 9JB.

Chartered surveyor Steve Jackson has since won praise for his high-profile projects, including a tribute from the Queen, but there was a time, early on, when he feared his business would collapse. He was mildly shocked when Michael, a senior business colleague – who was a Christian - had a call from someone in trouble, and asking for prayer, right then, over the phone.

Then, moments later, Michael asked Steve at lunch if he could pray for him – “that God would become more real” in Steve’s own life.

For Steve, who was not a churchgoer, preferring golf and rugby at weekends, it was “a catalyst moment.” He went on to discover that “there is more to prayer than I’d ever realised.”

Eventually he became a leader in the international fellowship of the Full Gospel Business Men for 20 years. Steve, and his wife Sue have two daughters.
