Norwich Christian charity shares Peru story
2011: A Norwich Christian charity based working with female prisoners in Peru is hosted an event on Friday 18 March where 16 year old Branco shared his amazing story of how God is working in his life.
Hope & Song to Freedom is based in Norwich and works in Lima, Peru offering practical, spiritual and emotional support to women prisoners and those released together with their families.
Liz Lake who runs Hope & Song to Freedom has recently welcomed Branco the son of Miriam and Dinger who run the work in Peru.
Branco who is 16 years old, has travelled on his own for the first time to visit our country and share his story of God at work in his life.
Miriam and Dinger were arrested when he was about 5 years old, so he lived with his Grandma for a year in Lima before they moved to the jungle. Here, Branco attended a Sunday School and became a Christian. Without his knowing, Branco's parents also became Christians in their separate prisons at the same time! Branco and his siblings began to pray for their parents’ release. Then one day, out of the blue, Branco saw his parents walking towards him in the jungle. They had been set free.
Branco and Liz [pictured above] would also love to visit any church groups and share the story of how God is moving in their lives and through Hope and Song to Freedom. Branco will be here until the 12 April.
