Christian author visits Norwich for booksigning
2011: "Hotter than Potter" Christian author Henry Brooks visited Norwich Waterstones bookshop on Saturday April 9 to promote his new book Shoulders of Giants.
Author, speaker and recording artist Henry Brooks [pictured right] toured the country to promote his newest book in a series about the Christian conversion and adventures of a fifteen year old boy.
Henry sees this as a unique opportunity to get quality Christian fiction into the hands of unchurched people.
He said, "I was Norwich for a few hours only and would love to meet local Christians who have a passion to see Christ-centred literary excellence in the secular marketplace.
"This is a major arena where the hearts and minds of young people are corrupted and lost, Christians need to be '...a lot hotter than Potter...' in this area."
About the book:
The Will Houston Mysteries series follow the Christian conversion and adventures of a fifteen year old boy, blending the magic of Arthur Ransome (Swallows and Amazons) with the mystery of Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes).
Bear Grylls calls the opening novel ‘....inspirational...’ and the author‘...a gentle man of God who has faced life’s great mountains...’
The latest book The Shoulders of Giants charts one teenager’s rugged initiation into adulthood through a series of adventures and trials. The nine parts of the novel seek to expand on the nine fruits of the Spirit from the Bible which become the foundation blocks of Will’s newfound manhood. The book is also accompanied by a Christian music CD expanding the spiritual themes in a variety of music genres.
