CD plea from Norfolk Christian band Brokenfor

A Norfolk Christian band are appealing for help to record a new CD to further their aim to reach young people with the positive message of Jesus.

Christian band Brokenfor have been together for eight years and have started a campaign to raise funds so they make a new EP.

Lead singer and guitarist Ben, his brother Dan on bass and Dicky on drums are Brokenfor and they have a passion for seeing the gospel reach the lives of yong people so they connect with Jesus. Their music communicates a message of hope thereby inspiring the next generation to love and be loved.

Brokenfor invite the Norfolk Christian community to join them on their mission to let God's hope shine. They say that they are not just another band wanting to make a CD to get rich and famous; they are on a mission.

Dan explains, "Most of the music that hits the ears of young people sends a message of loose morals and little hope for a bright future.

We want to change that. The best way to affect the lives of young people is to meet them where they are at. To talk to them not as a parent but as a friend, about subjects that they face everyday and in a way that sounds like what they already listen to.

Making this EP is not just about music, but life. We want to be able to do this everyday of our lives. Write songs, play shows and reach more and more people with this message of love and hope that Jesus saves. By investing in this CD you can help us try and achieve our goal."

The band has set up a website to raise money to record their next CD. There are 20 days left of their campaign and their target to raise is £500 ($850 on the website) and they have currently raised £120. Funds raised will go towards the trip to Southampton to record the CD, the cost of production, manufacture and promotion.

All contributions are gratefully received and by way of thanks to band is giving away posters, CDs and invites to the release gig to donors.

Brokenfor will be appearing at the Forum in Norwich on June 10 and 11 as part of the outdoor programme of events at the Celebrate Norwich & Norfolk weekend.
