Why on earth as Christians and Disciples of Christ would we want to celebrate the royal wedding?

Royalty is not of the Lord, in fact when the Israelites cried out for a king in Samuel chapter 8 the Lord was displeased because they had rejected Him, the bottom line is the Lord should be our king.

Secondly, as far as I know William and Kate aren’t believers so why would we as Christians spend half the day watching a worldly wedding between two unbelievers?

The bible clearly states we are in the world but not of the world, and we’re sojourners in a foreign land and if you love world then the love of the Father isn’t in you!

The only wedding we should be looking forward to is the marriage feast with the Lamb.
