YMCA Norfolk issues appeal for furniture

BedroomFurnitureYMCA Norfolk has put out an appeal for bedroom furniture for its expanding work housing homeless young people in Great Yarmouth.

The YMCA’s work in Great Yarmouth has grown in the past year and the latest development involves expanding its work in Houses of Multiple Occupation. The YMCA operation can now accommodate up to ten homeless young people between the ages of 18-24.

This housing offers young people a safe environment in shared accommodation where they are provided with support and helped to learn life skills so that they can move on to independent living.

YMCA Norfolk is desperately trying  to get these rooms up and running so that they can provide young people with a home and are putting an appeal out for anybody with bedroom furniture they can donate; single beds, mattresses, bedside table, desks, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, lamps.

If you think that you may be able to help in any way with this please contact: Mary Ives, Area Director Great Yarmouth on 01493 854162 or at maryives@ymca-norfolk.org.uk
