Norwich church answers the people's questions
A Norwich church has decided the throw the traditional sermon out of the window for the month of May and instead wants to answer the questions of the people of Norwich when it comes to God, faith and the church.
Proclaimers, based at The Space, Roundtree Way, Norwich, have decided that instead of having a traditional church sermon at their 10:30am and 6:30pm services they will answer questions submitted by people in Norfolk as part of their ‘FAQ’ series.
Lead Pastor Tom Rawls said, “We know that people have lots of different questions that they would love to ask but sometimes they don’t have the opportunity to ask them, or they feel worried about what people may think of their question. This series is designed to enable people to have those questions answered. We want to hear what questions it is the people of Norwich have”.
The church reports that they will be dealing with questions from people including: ‘Why do good people die of cancer?’ and ‘What does the church really think about homosexuality?’
The church have sent teams out into Norwich filming people asking the questions they would like to know the answers to, and have also contacted some local celebrities to ask for their questions.
You don’t have to be a part of the church in order to have your questions answered; you can submit them via a special email address faq@proclaimers.com. You can find out which questions will be answered in Proclaimers weekend services by visiting their website www.proclaimers.com. Some questions will also have answers published on the website.
