Prophetic speaker stirs Norfolk to pray

Cindy JacobsPrayer for Revival meetings continue to gain momentum across Norfolk with more than 38 churches now involved in the partnership and a powerful evening with prophet Cindy Jacobs.

American author and prophet Cindy Jacobs recently spoke at a Prayer for Revival meeting.
Phil Thorne, minister at City Church, Norwich, said: “We are excited about all that God is doing among leaders and churches across the region with increasing faith and expectation as we together, in unison pray for revival. There is a growing anticipation that as we partner together across the city and region under the strap line, ‘Partnership Without Ownership’ God will command His blessing, ‘Life forevermore.’ Our deep desire is that all churches would experience an increased sense of the presence of God at work in and through the church."
Rod & Julie Anderson of The Prayer Foundation, co-hosting alongside Prayer for Revival, said, "The last Thursday of the month, we at (TPF) train believers towards prophetic intercession, and strong faith, and each week on a Thursday we meet at the barn in Mellis to pray for the region, and the nations.

Cindy's coming to Norwich was birthed from these prayers. Cindy's message to the Norwich and the region was two-fold. One, to never stop dreaming for God to use the area.  Many stop, having lost heart, just short of God's visiting an area. Cindy spoke of how consistent prayer will awaken the anointing of honour, and create an atmosphere where the Lord is welcome to come in the strength of His presence. Secondly, she sensed the Holy Spirit strongly telling her that Norfolk was a "pool of Bethsaida" just waiting for believers to step in to what God has been preparing and offering for the area, all along. She shared that when God awakens a region or a nation, He always begins with a small pocket of believers who's hearts burn with desire and passion for the Lord, who live in unity.

Jill Gower of Call to Prayer, said, “What struck me the most was the sense of anticipation from everyone, as we gathered across the churches, all with one heart to hear from God. Cindy brought a strong message and spoke prophetically about Norwich being a city of refuge, and the whole region like the pool of Bethsaida - a place of healing and restoration.  It was good to have her confirm what we are feeling; that the Lord is preparing us for a move of God.  I thought Phil hosted it extremely well, and we look forward to the next stage in His purposes."

Richard & Nicky Jones from The Chapel Gt Snoring, said, “For us the evening was very exciting!  We were left with a 'knowing' in our heart that revival was on its way to Norwich and the region! Cindy said that God could trust us all with revival because we had been faithful, which was very encouraging.”

Graham Dacre of TLC, said, “Having Cindy Jacobs in Norwich was very special for a number of reasons. Firstly her visit generated a huge sense of anticipation. There was also a great sense of unity and purpose amongst everyone who attended the event. The worship was great too. Surely a great night in the company of a remarkable woman of God. We need more of these nights in the city.”

Vic Ready of TEC, said, "Cindy Jacobs was the right person at the right time to ignite the flame of revival, not just Norwich but also for our region."

Mark Taylor of Carleton Rode Baptist, said, “It was just so good to be amongst so many Christians from other churches, all with one common purpose and vision - that we see the region blessed by an outpouring of God, under which churches will be transformed and communities awakened to the glorious Gospel of Christ. For Cindy to come from Texas, and with all the wealth of her experience, was such an encouragement as she verbalised what she saw, heard, and felt in the spiritual atmosphere and from the throne of God."

Christine Field, one of the local Prayer for Revival organisers in Norwich, said, “We are expecting God to move in a mighty way in the churches throughout this region and answer our prayers for revival. As Cindy Jacobs ministered prophetically to individuals, all had a sense that "she must have read their mail" so specific and accurate were the words that were given. Many testified to God powerfully healing them on the night. Those not used to church were blown away by the awesome reality and power of God. One young lady, a non-church goer, turned up on the night. At the end her Christian friend asked that she please come to church with her on Sunday where she would be able to see they were "normal". The non-church goer responded "Oh no, I'd be disappointed. I want the dramatic God that is here tonight". Let us not "normalise" God. He is awesome, powerful, Almighty, and the great "I AM", not the great "I Was," as Cindy reminded us. As this story illustrates the world is looking for the real deal!”

Kingsley Armstrong of NFLC, said, “It was a fantastic evening. I went expecting to hear from God and it was just as good as I expected. The night meeting was wonderful. I loved the worship and the Word that Cindy shared about the pool of Bethesda was so encouraging. However the earlier leader's teatime meeting was the highlight for me. Cindy just sat on a stool and shared her heart and the tangible presence of the Lord was incredible. She shared about some of the previous revivals that she had been involved around the world and how the same stirring seemed to be present here in Norwich. So it is all incredibly exciting and I felt very privileged to be there.”

Richard George of Cornerstone Norwich, said, “All who came from our church came home excited, really stirred up. Cindy Jacobs was clearly moved at the prospect of an imminent move of God here in Norfolk and that released faith in many who were there on Monday.”

NORWICH - Churches and ministries so far continuing to partner together include: City Church Norwich, City Church Wymondham, Eternity Norwich (AOG), Call to Prayer, Wroxham Road Methodist, Witard Road Baptist, Queens Community Church, Taverham Evangelical Church, Unite and Transforming Norwich.

Phil Thorne said, “A number of church leaders have been enquiring about establishing a Prayer for Revival event in their area. I would be delighted to hear from other church leaders and ministries across the region that would like to partner with us in Prayer for Revival where they are, in our quest for the church across the region to rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
