Chance for new teams to join Christian league

BishopCupAction450An invitation has been issued for church-supported adult and youth football teams to join the Norfolk Christian Football League for the 2011/2012 season.
The fast-growing League boasts almost 60 teams which compete in six different age-based competitions run on Saturday mornings.

It has four 7-a-side youth age groups: Under 10s (school yrs 4 & 5), Under 12s (yrs 6 & 7), Under 14s (yrs 8 & 9) and Under 16s (yrs 10 & 11); one 6-a-side Under 18s age group, based at Sportspark, UEA; and one adult 11-a-side league, based largely in Norwich.

A Welcome Evening for new teams, new team managers and club officials has been arranged for Monday June 13, 7.30pm, at Norwich Central Baptist Church, Duke Street, Norwich. This gives them a chance to find out about the league, meet its officials and complete the registration process.

The league is holding a Christians in Sport quiz evening, combined with its season’s awards events on Saturday June 11 at Witard Road Baptist Church. Click here for full details.

Contact Tim Stapleford (timstapleford@sky.com) for any more NCFL information or the welcome evening or the quiz and awards event.
