North Norfolk church holds family fun day
There will be a day of fun, food and games at Sheringham Community Centre on Sunday June 26 as a North Norfolk church holds their annual Family Fun Day.
The day, organised by Sheringham Baptist Church will start with a time of worship at 10.30am, and Tony Nelson, Sheringham’s Town Crier will be along to open the Fun Day at 11.30am.
“We are looking for ways to bring church into our community”, said the church’s pastor, Rev Bryan Pickard, “This fun day is simply an opportunity to share God’s love with people in a way which is exciting and enjoyable”.
The church’s thriving youth football club will be organising a football tournament on the field, and the acclaimed “Gospel Voices” youth choir will be providing live music.
There will also be games, puppets, face painting, circus skills, stalls, craft, as well as a bouncy castle and the Gladiator challenge.
Food will be available in the form of a barbecue, and free tea, coffee and cakes will also be available. Cakes will also be for sale. There is no charge for admission or activities. Any profits made from stalls or the barbecue will go to family projects in Brazil and Uganda.
This event will replace the usual morning meeting at the Holway Road church.
