Pastor in stocks at North Norfolk church
There was fun, food and games in abundance for the 300 people who recently attended Sheringham Baptist Church’s annual Family Fun Day.
The day started with a time of worship at 10.30am, then Tony Nelson, Sheringham’s Town Crier officially opened proceedings at 11.30am.
There was football on the field, organised by the church’s thriving youth football club, the church’s youth band and the acclaimed “Gospel Voices” youth choir provided live music. There were also games, puppets, face painting, circus skills, stalls, craft, as well as a bouncy castle and the Gladiator challenge.
There was also a barbecue, and free tea, coffee and cakes. Any profits made from stalls or the barbecue will go to family projects in Brazil and Uganda.
“We believe at least 300 people attended”, said the church’s youth pastor, Pete Skivington, “This fun day was our way of sharing God’s love with people in a way which is exciting and enjoyable”.
