Christian football league ready for kick-off
A record 56 teams have registered for the new season of the Norfolk Christian Football League which kicks off on September 3.
The first matches for the adult league start on Saturday 3rd September and the youth divisions start the following week – Saturday 10th September.
New teams this season are East Norwich Youth Project (ENYP) U12, Hethersett Athletic U10 and Worstead Wolves are re-joining after a break in the U16 division.
Those playing in the U10, U12 and U14 age groups have been encouraged to pair up for home venues so that a friendly match can also be played after the main match, this gives the young people more opportunity to play football and ensures everyone on the team has a chance to play.
General Secretary for the league Jess Tyson said, “The new 2011/12 season is fast approaching and I am excited to be part of such a dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers that make the Norfolk Christian Football League thrive year on year.
The opportunity for young people to play football in a safe and happy environment whilst also hearing about and seeing demonstrated the love of Jesus is amazing. I know it’s going to be a great season!”
