Annual appeal time for Norwich Salvation Army

Homeless with officerDuring the month of September members, friends and volunteers of The Salvation Army in Norwich and the surrounding areas will be out collecting in the community to raise vital funds for the Annual Appeal campaign.

Collectors will be going door to door and 100% of all donations made to the Appeal will help people in need.

This year the theme for the Annual Appeal is ‘Mending Broken Lives’ and illustrates the life-changing impact that unconditional Christian love, practical support and professional help can have on people who come into contact with The Salvation Army though any of our 800 social and community centres across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Salvation armyThis has been a particularly hard year for many people who have had to cope with job losses, poverty and loneliness.

This is why the role of The Salvation Army is more important than ever. With cuts to public funding we receive, public donations to our Annual Appeal are vital to ensure we can continue our work in mending broken lives from services such as our Lifehouses (Hostels) support and provide accommodation for people and families who are homeless, and our care homes and day centres for older people.

Please watch out for official Annual Appeal collectors who all carry a permit, which can be produced on request, and who will only be asking for cash donations (using blue Salvation Army donation envelopes/sealed Salvation Army collection tins).
