Caféchurch makes a difference in Norwich
After a break for August Cafechurch, Norwich kicks off this Sunday, 18th September at the Costa Coffee shop on London Street at the earlier time of 3pm.

Since the launch of cafechurch back in December 2010 we have met each month. We have tackled a range of topics from debt to relationships and self-esteem to fair-trade. In May we linked with Christian Aid to launch Christian Aid Week with a focus on world poverty and in June we were joined by the manager of Costa Coffee who spoke about the Costa Foundation and the work they do in coffee growing communities.
Our summer programme culminated with an open mic event where a number of local musicians provided the evening’s entertainment. Each event is relaxed and informal with quizzes, interviews, discussion, live music, great coffee and good conversation. We’d love you to join us – everybody is welcome.
Cafechurch is an important witness in the heart of the city and is part of the national network of cafechurch. We have had opportunity to engage with friends and passersby and have had a number of good conversations. One lady who comes regularly and who would say is not a Christian has started praying. We pray there would be more opportunity to engage with individuals on a deeper level and make a difference in the heart of Norwich.
There is a steering group made up from a number of local churches and individuals. If you would like to know more or are keen to be involved with this outreach, please contact Duane Elkins on 01603 617905.
