Norwich vicar embarks on UK book tour

Nicholas Vesey is vicar of St Luke’s with St Augustine’s in Norwich and his book Developing Consciousness – A Roadmap of the Journey to Enlightenment, published in July this year, tells the story of his own journey into spirituality.

Nicholas will be touring the country this autumn with a workshop that explores the nature of consciousness and the way it links to spirituality.

The workshops are designed to facilitate a deeper understanding of the way we create our reality though our senses and our minds. It will then move deeper and look at the nature of reality that lies behind all things, and how that characterises the essence of spirituality.
 

 

The language of contemporary spirituality and that of the Christian tradition do not sit easily together. Consequently many spiritual seekers will not consider Christianity as something that they are prepared to explore. 
 

The best we can do is to ask them to suspend their belief and take a leap of faith into our Christian worldview with a promise that there is a pot of gold at the end of that particular rainbow.

 

Or we rely on the strength of our relationships to assure them that we have their best interests at heart. Nicholas presents a fresh view on how to build a bridge between these two perspectives based upon an understanding of what is at the heart of each of them.

 

Throughout the book there is a personal memoir from Nicholas’ own life. Stories that include both highs and lows. Some of the material is very honest and challenging.

Developing Consciousness is a roadmap of the journey to enlightenment that puts the reader firmly in the driving seat.
